My name is Simon Zonligt and I am a 20-year-old self-employed freelancer with a passion for mechanical/mechatronic engineering, 3D scanning, and rapid prototyping. I primarily work in the automotive industry, where I apply my skills to bring innovative ideas to life. I have a keen interest in how things work and how they can be improved. My journey into the world of engineering and prototyping began when I was younger, tinkering with small electric devices and taking apart machines to understand their inner workings. This curiosity has evolved into a career where I combine my love for engineering with the latest technologies in 3D-scanning, rapid prototyping and structural analysis. As a freelancer, I have the flexibility to work on a variety of projects, from designing custom parts for classic cars to creating prototypes for automotive innovations. I thrive on problems or ‘challenges’ in my words and enjoy pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with my skills and tools.
